Irrelevant Search Traffic – asdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjkl

So I recently visited this site about the keyword asdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjklasdfghjkl which is basically just what you’ll get if you put your hands on the keyboard and type starting with your left pinky, through your right ring finger and repeat a few times.  But you’d be surprised to learn that a decent number of people search on this.  Why?  Is it just being silly?  As a bigger question, is there any value in getting general, irrelevant traffic to a given site?  If you get enough surely someone will convert?  But is it worthwhile?

Networking in the SEO Industry

IMO, many people in this profession have too narrow a view of networking.  They get involved in SEO and then jump on Twitter, the blogs, forums, etc. and network that way.  That’s great.  But there is something to be said for offline networking too.  The conferences are great for that (Lord knows the content is rarely worth the ticket price!) and so are local SEO meetups.  But a little one-on-one business lunch ain’t so bad either.

I’ve been doing just that for years, and recently started a blog about it. Check it out.

SEO Services in Smaller Towns Like Altoona, PA

Looking for SEO services in central Pennsylvania? Check out Altoona SEO. Also, keep an eye on our lead generation blog as we’re working on a post about regionally-focused lead generation for SEO firms. I’ll discuss it from the changing perspective I’ve had over the past 5-7 years with regard to selling internet marketing and SEO services on a regional versus national level.

Also consider checking out Fort Mill SEO for similar reasons. If you are based in a smaller town like Fort Mill, a local expert likely has the knowledge and understanding of how to get your site positioned so that it is seen by your local, regional market. Indeed, many local SEO’s are more familiar with locally-oriented websites and can help steer your site in the right direction.
